Japanese Souvenirs Omotenashi Series /
~日本のおみやげ~シリーズ

These tea packages have Japanese-style designs. Each contains 100 grams of “Sencha” and “Genmaicha Mixed with Matcha” – both from the Japanese Souvenirs Omotenashi series. A packet containing 50 grams of hojicha costs 500 yen. A packet of 80 grams of “Kinsaika” (lightly steamed) sencha containing pure gold flakes costs 1,000 yen. These are all Japanese teas, but they taste different because of the varying ways they’re made.
和をイメージしたパッケージに入ったお茶。~日本のおみやげ~おもてなしシリーズの煎茶、抹茶入り玄米茶は各100グラム入り。ほうじ茶は50グラム入り。各500円。純金入り煎茶 金彩華(浅蒸し)は80グラム入り、1,000円。どれも日本茶だが加工方法が違うため、味が異なる。

This washi envelope and card set is made with a traditional watermarking technique so that when it’s held up to the light a transparent white pattern appears. It’s unusual in that it undergoes a huge change when held up to the light. When the card is inserted into the envelope a faint design appears on the brown card. Comes in a box. Size: 17.6 x 12 centimeters. Price: 2,800 yen.
紙を光に透かすと絵柄が白く透けて見える、伝統的なすかしの技法で作られた和紙を使った封筒とカードのセット。通常時と光にすかしたときとで大きく表情が変わるのが特徴。封筒にカードを入れると、模様がうっすらとブラウンのカードに浮かびあがる。箱入り。サイズ:17.6×12センチ。2,800円。
