A 16.5-millimeter-wide hanko to be given to the winners of the Photo Contest and the Visitors’ Caption Prize

“Hanko” stamps used by Japanese people in place of a signature are a popular souvenir with foreign visitors. Typical hanko only have two to five Japanese characters inscribed on them, whereas this hanko allows for more characters in letters from the Roman alphabet. A 16.5-millimeter-wide hanko goes for 3,000 yen, whereas an 18-millimeter-wide hanko costs 3,500 yen. The hanko comes with a lid and a pouch.

Japan Feeling Toilet Paper/Japan Feeling トイレットペーパー

One winner of the photo contest will be given a set of eight different varieties.

This toilet paper communicates a sense of Japan through sight, touch, and fragrance. The design is based on traditional Japanese family crests. It is made from 100% recycled pulp in Shikokuchuo City, Ehime Prefecture – an area known for being Japan’s center for paper production. There are eight varieties, including one with a sandalwood fragrance that has a relaxing effect, one with a green tea fragrance that has a refreshing effect, and one with a citron fragrance that relieves stress. One roll costs 300 yen.

Rich in nutrients, komenuka (rice bran) is the husk that is removed when brown rice is converted into white rice. Japanese people have been washing their bodies with komenuka since ancient times. This facewash powder contains komenuka. It removes grime from the skin without drying it out. Work it into a lather in your hand by adding cold or lukewarm water, then cover your face with the lather for a wash. Price: 1,080 yen (tax included).
